Choctawhatchee High School Cooling Tower Replacement - Okaloosa County School District

This project consists of the replacement of the existing 600 ton cooling tower with two new 400 ton units that will provide for redundancy and allow for maintenance activities during school hours. The two cooling towers will be located north of the current tower location to provide greater airflow and to diminish the noise intrusion to the surrounding areas. The towers will be constructed of all stainless steel to provide for a longer service life. Variable frequency drives will be installed to replace the existing, failing controls and to alleviate the labor intensive manual controls that are currently in operation. New pumps and 10” piping is included to the new towers. Connection to the existing chillers and demolition of the old tower is included.
